LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing “-1 Corinthians 13:1-3.

God through Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 is helping us to understand the meaning of true love. Has anyone ever said something to indicate to you that you are legalistic, you do not know what love is or that you do not know how to love, because you combine love with obedience?

The next time someone ignorantly makes this insinuation you help that individual by sharing these scriptures, to let that person know that Jesus was not only about love, but He was very much about obedience. John 3:16; 14:15, Philippians 2:8, 1 John 5:3 and 1 Samuel 15:22.

When we obey God that we learn to love Him and our fellow men in spirit and in truth. When we obey Yahweh’s 10 Commandment laws we fulfill the love therein, thus emulating the Character of Jesus Christ. This is the love spoken of in Luke:  And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself”- Luke 10:7.

By dying to our flesh and allowing the Holy Spirit you take full control of our lives we are able to embrace the entire Word of God, not just the parts that make us feel good and comfortable. Love, love, love this sounds very cuddly right? Now how does this sound? Obey, obey, obey!

Do you feel some resistance? When it comes to God, friends, there should be no resistance, but the enemy of God has set it up so that people would resist God and listen to him, but the brother of Jesus warns: “Resist the devil and he will flee from you”-James 4:7.

Dear heavenly Father, please help us to love and obey you, so that we would not be deceived by satan and those he has employed to work with him. I pray in the name of Jesus-Amen

7 Steps to Secure Eternal Life

Hope is alive and Jesus is still waiting patiently today, but one day He’s going to leave His throne in heaven to come to earth and get those who have faithfully served Him; those who are waiting for His return, whether they are in the grave or still alive.  Do you want to be among that group? Are you ready to turn your life over to Jesus and let Him be your Ruler, Saviour, Friend, and Redeemer? Yes, Jesus is all that and more! If you are ready, you can follow these simple steps:

1.  Know that God loves you immensely and wants to save you- 1 Tim. 2:3-5; 2 Pet. 3:9

2.  Acknowledge that you are a sinner and that without Jesus Christ you are lost- Jer.  17:9; Rom. 3:23 and 6:23.

3.  Accept the free gift of Salvation that only God gives.  It is very important to know that you doing good works or righteous deeds cannot earn this. You can only obtain it through Christ Jesus. Rom. 3:24-27; Eph. 2:1-10.

4.  Repent (be sorry for) all your sins and confess (tell) them to JESUS. Acts. 3:19; 1 John 9.

5.   Believe that God has forgiven; because of Jesus and that you have been forgiven and accepted into the Family of God to inherit eternal life through you faith in Jesus. You will live with Jesus forever and get to learn all the things you did not learn in this life. Eph. 1:4-7; 1 john 5:11-13.  This is the Plan of Salvation! Eternal life comes through Jesus Christ who loves us died on the cross to save us from sin. (John 3:16-17).

6.  Now you are God’s precious possession and the Holy Spirit will begin to do a mighty and miraculous work in your life as you open up your heart to be teachable and let Him teach you the ways of the Lord. Purpose in your heart to live this new life to its fullest, not looking back, but looking forward to all that God has promised to do for those who follow Jesus. The journey will not be easy, but it will be more than worth it.  When you fall Jesus will be right there to pick you up.

7. Read your Bible every day, Pray everyday. Spend time with people who are doing these things and are actually looking and preparing for the soon coming of Jesus Christ. Tomorrow is not promised, so tell all you friend about Jesus and your new life. Jesus wants to save them too.

Dear heavenly Father, please open the hearts and minds of those who read this article and help them to receive whatever You are saying to them, or showing them at this time. Shine Your light upon them and protect them from the lies of the evil one. In the name Jesus that I pray-Amen.

FEAR, WORRY, DOUBT?

Living in a world of turmoil, it is almost impossible to live without fear, worry and doubt, but in a real sense, those who believe in Jesus and want have want to have victory over sin, should not entertain these demons.  They are not of God. God’s design is for us is; faith, love, peace and all His goodness and mercy as we embrace grace and obedience. What is your fear? What do you worry about? Do you have doubts?  Is it worth the stress that comes with entertaining these emotions? What did Jesus say about fear, worry and doubt as opposed to faith?  It is important that you are clear on these issues.

The person who is fearful, worries and has doubts at all times, has not experienced perfect love and should therefore ascertain the causes of those emotions and set goals to demolish those strongholds and experience God’s  perfect love that will drive out all  fear, worry and doubt. We do not experience perfect love because our faith is not strong enough to believe fully/totally in what Jesus has said, done and promised.

Fear, worry and doubt are triplets, born in the womb of lack of faith. They are monsters that people allow to control them. Why do people fear, worry and doubt unnecessarily, when Jesus said that we shouldn’t? People worry about a myriad of things; death, finances, loss of a job, losing loved ones, rejection, accident, who is President, among other things. As a result, many are afraid to take the next step, afraid to fail, afraid of what might be.

You will never know what might be if you do not try. This kind of fear can interrupt a person’s destiny, because they are crippling and can keep people in the same spot when God needs for them to move to something else. Perhaps unbelievers have all the reasons to live in fear, worry and doubt, but for the believers, these things should not be allowed to manifest in our lives for long periods, because God has given many promises to the believers to guard against fear, worry and doubt. His love shields us from these demons. The Apostle John comforts us with these words:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18).
Peter also reminds us: And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover a multitude of sins (1 (Peter 4:8).

I find that both un-believers and believers alike go through periods of fear, worry and doubt. There are times when believers are saturated in God's divine love and peace that fear, worry and doubt are second nature or non-existence. Then there are other times when we find ourselves caught in the web of fear, worry and doubt, struggling to get out. For some unexplainable reasons, we have forgotten about God’s mercy, love grace, promises and have become distracted or confused.

When we exercise faith, hope and trust in our heavenly Father, these moments are passing ones; though they will come, they simply cannot linger too long. When we can get back into focusing on the light, the darkness will quickly disappear. The problem is that we are sometimes so deep in the pit, valley or wilderness that we cannot see the light. In times like these the believer must take the attitude of: “I am going to press through this, because, this too shall pass.”

There are always going to be situations, conditions, predicaments, disappointments and things that get in our way to tempt us into having fear, worry and doubt, but if we hold to the truths in God’s Word; we can starve fear, worry and doubt with faith, trust in God, His love and peace. For those who trust and believe in Almighty God, they have the authority to conquer the fear that the enemy has imposed upon them. It is in the midst of our storms, in the deepest and darkest moments of our struggles that God suddenly does something to remind us that He is right here with us. Oh, I praise Him so much!

God suddenly picked Joseph up out of the pit and we see a marvelous end result! Jesus suddenly held Peter’s hand and prevented him from drowning; He came through for Peter when He sent the angel to rescue him from the prison cells. You may read the fascinating report of Peter’s rescue as it is recorded in Acts, Chapter 12. Can you think of a time in your life when you felt helpless and God came through for you, and suddenly your fear, worry and doubt disappeared?

God is a God of suddenlys and he is waiting for you to relinquish your title of self-will and flesh, so He can rescue you from fear, worry and your doubt. He wants to transform your weaknesses into His likeness. So the next time you are tempted to entertain fear , worry, or doubt, remember the promises of God, have faith, hope and trust in Jesus and the working of the Holy Spirit, then, stand firm and wait for the salvation of the Lord, because:

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD (Lamentations 3:26).

Dear heavenly Father, I thank You for all Your promises. Please help us to demolish fear, worry and doubt, die to our flesh and allow Your Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct our every thought and action, in the name of Jesus-Amen.

The 2016 Election is Over, Now What?

Shall we continue with life as usual?  The Lord has allowed the leader the people has chosen to run this country. Natural laws have not changed since the times of the Israelites.  God gives the people what they ask for, sometimes not because it is good for them, but because of their rebellion. There are always lessons to be learned in every situation.

In one of our local Newspapers it was asked of a few people to sum up the election season in one sentence. Here are some of the results: One man said, “Ridiculous, stupid and crazy. They are all ridiculous, Democrats and Republicans,” Another said, “Arsenic and cyanide; I don’t know who to vote for!”  Yet another said Unbelievable; I don’t know what else to say.”

The women shared similar sentiments, with one woman stating: “The election is a crazy circus.” Another said; “Not enough attention is given to Hillary Clinton’s good qualities and finally another one remarked’ “There is turmoil and bad feelings across the country.” How many of us shared those same or similar opinions?

Now that the country has a new president Donald Trump, are you going to pray for him as you prayed for President Obama? Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Psalm 109:8? I hope that for those of you who prayed that prayer for President Obama have learned your lesson: God does not answer evil prayers.  Wouldn’t it make more sense to pray effective prayers?

It is better to pray prayers that get answered.  Please pray for Donald Trump’s salvation and that He will allow God to work through him to lead this country. Often times leaders do not recognize the significant position that God has allowed them to be placed in and they end up listening to the people and pleasing them rather than they listen to and please God. This is dangerous and this is the reason the world is in the condition it is in now.

Wouldn’t you like to see a Godly President in the White House?  You are probably saying, “Keep on dreaming.”  We can’t give up, we must move forward, not with our own agendas, but with God’s.  While we buy time, we still need to pray for God’s intervention.  There is no question that we are living in the last days, but while we are yet still alive, we need to live our best lives and we should do all we can to make that happen.

God can work miracles! He said: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. -2 Chronicles 7:14. God means what He says, but He needs our cooperation.

Dear heavenly Father, I pray in the name of Jesus and through the power of your Holy Spirit that this nation and the world will realize that You love them and You do punish people for their disobedience in order to bring them back to right relationship with You.  May the people obey your voice and rebel not against Your commandments so that Your hand may not be against them. Let us stand and see the great things that you will do before our eyes. Finally, dear God I pray that you will turn the heart of the in-coming President to you, let him embrace you with the zeal that he has for earthly riches and let him fear and serve you in truth with all his heart. Let him not forget those words, he spoke while on the campaign trail. And I figure it's probably maybe the only way I'm going to get to heaven. So I better do a good job. Okay? Lord you know what Mr. Trump meant by those words, but my prayer is that he will seek to please you in all that he does and take to heart the Scripture that says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. In Jesus’ name -Amen

Jesus is Coming Soon !Prepare To Meet God!

Please, please, please my friends, acquaintances and strangers, hear God through me.  Today is Election day in the United States of America and no matter who wins, America, the country beloved so by many and hated by so many others, will never be the same again!  Regardless of who wins this election many changes are about to happen. Likewise the world will never be the same again, because being the leader/super power that America has been, the rest of the world will follow. Keep your eyes off the things that are set up to distract you.  (The main person I’m talking to is myself). Distraction is a main tool that the arch deceiver uses to keep us from fulfilling our lives purposes.

For many years I have posted on Facebook and elsewhere and my message is always the same: Jesus is calling you! Accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour!  I have a passion for Christ, the one Who gave His life on the cross at Calvary to save us all from our sins; and if that wasn’t enough, He came to this earth, lived a sinless life, therefore showing and teaching us how we too are to live. Though, He could not stay with us here forever, He left the Holy Spirit to abide with us while He goes back to His heavenly home, where He continues His intercession for our sins.  He does this for us because we are still living in this fallen world where sin abounds. Jesus has promised that He will return to get us. We all know that He will come again, because scriptures tell us that God does not lie, He does not change and His Word does not return to Him void.

Here is a promise that Jesus made that should have you rejoicing, even in these tumultuous and uncertain times: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  (John 14:1-3).

I believe this is what God would want us to think about on this Election Day, November 8, 2016. However, this sublime promise is conditional. It is for those who would REPENT, CONFESS and follow JESUS in spirit and in truth. This is the crux of the whole matter! Jesus is calling YOU!  Remember this: "Today when you hear his voice, don't harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled." Hebrews 3:15. Pay close attention to where Jesus is calling you from, to where He is calling you to go to and to what He is calling you do and please be obedient. As He's talking to me and I'm sharing with you. It's not easy, but it is necessary.

Yes, it is between you and Jesus baby, if I might say so. He’s just using me to send you this reminder, because you are not reading your Bibles for yourself, neither are you paying attention and you easily forget. God has to use people like you and me to make sure the entire world gets HIS message.  How long are you going to rebel against God? The penalty for rejecting God is eternal damnation, but God in His love for us wants us all to be saved. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance -2 Peter 3:9.
Dear heavenly Father, I pray for the salvation of everyone reading this message. May they be in right relationship with you, that if you come are call them today their souls and mine will be well with you, in Jesus’ name-Amen.
